Installation precautions for CO catalysts in refuge chambers
Uniform filling: The thickness of the catalyst bed should be uniform. Do not apply excessive pressure to avoid crushing and increasing resistance. The upper and lower sides of the catalyst bed should be fixed with (stainless steel) wire mesh, and there should be no air leakage holes at the edge of the bed to ensure that all toxic gases need to be filtered through the catalyst bed completely.
Waterproof protection: Do not allow water droplets to enter the catalyst bed during use. Avoid water immersion. Otherwise, the catalyst may be damaged. It is recommended to cover the upper and lower sides of the catalyst bed with large particle alumina balls to extend its service life.
Requirements for supporting devices: When installing the filter device, do not use products containing volatile organic compounds or hydrogen sulfide as accessories. Electrochemical CO sensors are prone to alarm. It is recommended to use infrared CO sensors to obtain relatively accurate CO data.
