Expanded Graphite (EG)

Expanded graphite (EG) is obtained by treating high-quality natural flake graphite with strong acids and strong oxidants for interlayering. Expanded graphite also inherits the properties of natural flake graphite, featuring extremely high electrical conductivity, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and radiation resistance. Compared with natural flake graphite, expanded graphite has a loose and porous structure, is flexible and bendable, has a lower density, a larger volume and surface area, and a higher surface energy. It also possesses extremely strong seismic resistance, torsional resistance, pressure resistance, and adsorption capacity. It is widely used in the production of flame-retardant and fire-resistant materials, sealing materials, environmentally friendly adsorption materials, battery materials, etc.
