On April 30th, 2021, our company was immensely honored to host a group of esteemed professors from the University of Science and Technology of China for a visit to Xintan. We were delighted to engage in product discussions with the professors, specifically focused on the Hopcalite catalyst produced by Xintan.
During the meeting, the discussion centered on how Hopcalite catalyst can be effectively utilized in treating smoke emitted from the steel industry and how to surpass its current sensitivity to sulfur. With the government emphasizing more on environmental conservation, many steel factories are mandated to eliminate carbon monoxide from their emissions. However, smoke generated from steel mills comprises a multitude of sulfides, which all currently-produced CO removal catalysts are sensitive to. Even renowned global enterprise Carus has been unable to solve this problem, making it a challenge for the entire catalyst industry.
In response to these challenges, the professors provided valuable guidance and practical suggestions for our product development, aiming to enhance its performance and adaptability to the ever-changing market demands. Our Hopcalite catalyst, along with our research and development capabilities, received recognition from the professors, resulting in us establishing a long-term cooperation agreement. Our primary objective is to address the sulfur resistance issue of Hopcalite catalyst. This industry-university-research collaboration is a prime example, and the professors' team will carry out comprehensive tests on smoke emitted from steel mills, assisting us in amassing substantial test data.
Our Hopcalite catalyst is currently employed across a multitude of applications, including various fire equipment, diving equipment, N2 production, mine rescue, refuge chamber, and waste gas treatment. Xintan places immense emphasis on the research and development of catalysts, and with the advancement of our research, we hold a strong conviction that Xintan can conquer the main obstacle pertaining to Hopcalite.
We are fully confident that Xintan's Hopcalite catalyst (CO removal catalyst) can achieve enhanced quality and efficiency, enabling the product to cater to diverse market needs and garner recognition from a wider array of customers.
